When Does the Pirate Token End in Fortnite?
Three different “end” dates matter: the 14-day free-shop window after you activate, the 2026 activate-by deadline, and when Treasure Hunters chests stop dropping new tokens.

Activation deadlines and chest-acquisition deadlines are different. Do not use Dec 5 as your activate-by date.
When does my 14-day window end?
The free-shop clock starts on Activate Now—not when you find the token. FortPirate models Day 1 → Day 14 on your local calendar (midday anchors). Fortnite’s own timer is authoritative.
What is the activation deadline?
For the 2026 activation, reward screens commonly show an activate-by around December 15, 2026 (often ~6 PM CST / Dec 16 00:00 UTC). Copy the exact cutoff from your game—do not trust a third-party clock over Fortnite.
You also get a separate 2027 activation (about Jan 1–Dec 15, 2027). Missing 2026 usually only costs that year’s window.
Epic’s Treasure Hunters timeline mentions a ~Dec 5 season event. That is when new token drops may stop—not the same as the Dec 15 activate-by deadline.
How the window is calculated
One activation = about 14 continuous days (336 hours). The clock does not pause between daily shop rotations. Daylight-saving changes can shift displayed local clock times; use Fortnite’s countdown as the final source.
Waiting for announced cosmetics can help align your window, but a release date is not a guarantee those offers stay in the shop or stay Pirate Shop–eligible. Recheck the live Item Shop and your activation screen before you commit.
When should you activate?
